Zahira Vidyalaya, Akkaraipattu mixed Kids’ team emerged champions and won the gold medal in the All Island Kids Athletics Competition grade three segment as the national level contest concluded at the Bogambora grounds, Kandy recently. The event was sponsored by the Nestle Lanka PLC.
Twelve kids’ teams from 10 schools in the Akkaraipattu, Addalaichenai and Pottuvil Educational Divisions under the Akkaraipattu educational zone took part at the national level contest.

Gold medal
– Mixed team - Zahira Vidyalaya, Akkaraipattu
Silver medal
– Girls’ team - Zahra Vidyalya, Addalaichenai
Bronze medal
– Boys’ team - Madeena Vidyalaya, Oluvil

Bronze medal
– Mixed team - Al-Jaiza Vidyalaya, Oluvil
