Altogether 32 teams advanced to the second round of the ‘Singer Trophy’ Under 13 division 1 inter schools cricket tournament.
77 teams were participated in the league format Group stage matches under 10 groups.
Tissa Central College, Kalutara was the reigning champions and Prince of Wales College, Moratuwa is the runner-up. Both last year's champs and runner-up have qualified to this year's second round.
The 32 qualified teams will play on league basis under 8 groups in the second round. Champions and runner-up teams in every group will be qualified to pre quarter final round. The semi finalists will play on league basis where the champ[ions will be determined on points.
Second round matches will be played from next week.
