Physical training clinic for sports teachers

An special meeting and workshop to introduce the newly designed grade nine Health and Physical Education (sports) Syllabus, to the Sports teachers of the Kalutara Zone, was held at the Pothupitiya MV, Auditorium, Kalutara, under the Sports Development Programme of schools in the Kalutara Zone. The teachers who participated in the workshop were trained and coached in ‘Flexibility Test’, ‘Push-up test’ and ‘Hop Jump Test’ by Senior In-Service. Advisor’s (ISAs) of Sports and Physical Education from 9.00 am to 4.30 pm on that day.

The entire training programme was conducted by Asst. Director in Sports Education on Kalutara Zone Kanthasiri Meegamuwage, Senior ISA (Sports) Rasika Dharmakeerthi, Snr ISA Vijitha Gunawardena and Several other ISAs at the Pothupitiya MV Playgrounds, under the instructions of the Kalutara Zonal Education Director Priyani Mudalige.
