MAS Holdings won the Mercantile Table Tennis League ‘A’ division men’s and women’s titles when the apex mercantile sector table tennis tournament concluded at the S. Thomas’ College Indoor Stadium recently. The annual tournament was organized by the Mercantile Table Tennis Association (MTTA) of Sri Lanka and almost all the top Mercantile sector paddlers took part.
Seylan Bank secured the runner-up positions in both men’s and women’s League ‘A’ division while the Astron Sports Club won the Veterans’ title.
The victorious MAS Holdings ‘A’ division men’s team comprised Nirmala Jayasinghe, Sukitha Wickramanayake, Gimhan Walisundara, Rajiva Wijethunga and Prasad de Silva while their champion ‘A’ division women’s team consisted of Kalpani Herath, Srimali Wimalarathna, Upeka Kotinkaduwa and G Nisansala Dilrukshi Fonseka.
