South Africa bounced back into recognition with an eight-wicket victory over the West Indies in their ICC Twenty20 Cricket World Cup Group One match at Dubai, United Arab Emirates yesterday.
After losing their opening game to Australia, the Proteas hit back with a vengeance as they chased down their opponents’ total of 143 runs with eight wickets and 10 balls to spare. Earlier, paceman Dwaine Pretorius captured three wickets from just two overs to keep the defending champions to a below par score after opener Ewin Lewis had smashed a 35-ball 56 inclusive of six sixes and three fours.
