SL paddlers fail to advance in doubles

Sri Lanka’s mixed doubles combination of Chameera Ginige/Ishara Madurangi and Senura Silva/Bimandee Bandara failed to advance after losing their first-round matches at the Asian Table Tennis Championships in Doha, Qatar yesterday.

Ginige and Madurangi lost to Japan’s Shunsuke Tagami and Hina Hayatha 1-11, 6-11, 5-11 while Silva and Bandara went down to Chinese Taipei’s Huang Yang Cheng and Liu Hsing Yin 1-11, 6-11, 11-13. (D.R.)
