Scotland scores memorable victory against Bangladesh

Chris Greaves plays a shot

Scotland delivered a stunning blow as they brought down favourites Bangladesh by six runs in the ICC T20 World Cup fixture at Al Amerat in Muscat, Oman yesterday.

After making a competitive 140 for nine, Scotland produced a disciplined bowling performance to restrict their opponents to 134 for seven.

Earlier, Scotland fought back hard from 53 for six to finish on 140 for nine, thanks to a half-century stand between Chris Greaves and Mark Watt for the seventh wicket.

Shakib Al Hasan added yet another feather to his cap as he levelled Lasith Malinga for most wickets in Men’s T20Is with the scalp of Richie Berrington before surpassing the Sri Lankan pacer two balls later with the wicket of Michael Leask.
