Milka Gehani bags gold in All-Japan Senior and Masters meet

Sri Lanka's Milka Gehani, who represented Sri Lanka in the recently concluded Tokyo Olympics, won a gold medal in the team gymnastics event, yesterday, at the All-Japan Senior and Masters Gymnastics Championships in Yamagata, Japan. Milka along with her five teammates won gold in the team event of the meet.

The 18-old promising Gymnast has previously represented Sri Lanka at the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics and the 2019 World Championship.

Milka has received another two-year extension for her scholarship to train in Japan, and the National Olympic Committee of Sri Lanka has made every effort to support Gehani's success with the scholarship. She focuses on the next Asian Games and the Commonwealth Games and the Paris Olympic games in 2024.
