
Sports Minister Namal Rajapaksa yesterday declared open the new laboratory of the Sri Lanka Anti Doping Agency (SLADA) to mark the World Anti Doping Day, on April 9.
The construction of this lab started in 2017 and it is included with modern technology equipment that always produce the correct results.
“We have to develop athletes’ nutrition level to strengthen their mentality. The athletes have to be more concerned about their nutrition and Anti Doping,” Minister of Sports Namal Rajapaksa said.
“The players’ discipline is also very important to build up their career. The modern technology equipment of this lab are very useful for the athletes’ future preparations,” the Minister added.
State Minister of Rural and School Sports Infrastructure Development Thenuka Vidhanagamage, SLADA Chairman Professor Arjuna de Silva and its Director General Dr. Seevali Jayawickrama also graced the occasion (D.R)
