Kumar De Silva was elected as the President the Mercantile Hockey Association(MHA) for the second consecutive year at the 65th annual AGM was held at the Reg Wood Lounge of the Burgher Recreation Club recently.
Kumar is the former Director of Sales at Glaxo Smith Kline (Pvt) Ltd, who is having a stunning career representing Sri Lanka President XI, captaining Sri Lanka Schools, BRC, D. S Senanayake College Colombo and Dharmadutha College Badulla.
President Kumar de Silva presented key highlights of the association, key financial KPIs and projects that have been completed 2020.
Speaking on the occasion, legendary past president and a life member of the Mercantile Hockey Association, Dennis De Rozairo, stated that the awareness of the Association’s brand name has been increased by ten folds due to recent book launch of “Just call me Dennis ‘’ as well as, managing the affairs of the association, despite Covid 19 challenges.
