Sri Lanka’s Dilanka Isuru Kumara won the Bronze Medal in the 55kg weight category at the Asian Weightlifting Championships which commenced in Uzbekistan yesterday.
Kumara won the overall third place to clinch the Bronze Medal after he lifted 241kg in this event.
Two lifters from Kazakhstan won the Gold Medal and the Silver Medals in this weight class.
A four-member Sri Lankan team is participating in this championship, which is also considered as a qualification event for the Tokyo Olympics.
