The 2021 edition of the Summer Season All Island Open Badminton Championships is currently taking place at the Municipal Council Indoor Stadium in Nuwara-Eliya with some of the top stars in the country vying for major honours.
The event, organized by Central Province Badminton Association Together with Nuwera Eliya Badminton Association under the patronage of Sri Lanka Badminton, is continuing in full swing with a total of 993 shuttlers competing under 39 categories.
The event follows the highly successful completion of key events including the 68th nationals and Mercantile tournaments despite the pandemic situation over the past few months.
The Summer Season Open Championships, which is one of the major events in the Sri Lanka Badminton calendar, is turning the heat up in Little England and will culminate on April 27.
