Army SC and Air Force SC qualified to play in the Women’s final while Bitu Link Group SC, Kurunegala and CEB entered the Men’s final of the Munchee Super League Volleyball Championship after the completion of the semi-final matches worked off at the Dadella Volleyball House in Galle.
In the Women’s semi-finals, Air Force SC defeated Navy SC 25-20, 25-22, 20-25, 25-1 while Army SC had the better of Hidaramani 25-14, 21-25, 32-20, 25-23.
Meanwhile, in the Men’s semi-finals, CEB defeated Sri Lanka Air Force 22-25, 29-31, 25-18, 31-29, 15-10 while Bitu Link beat Army SC 22-25, 25-20, 25-18, 25-14.
The Women’s final between Army SC and Air Force SC and the Men’s final between CEB and Bitu Link SC will be worked off on March 13 at the NYSC, Maharagama commencing at 3.30 p.m.
The winning team will receive Rs. 150,000 runner-up Rs. 100,000 and there will be special awards for the most outstanding players. Sports Minister Namal Rajapaksa will be the Chief Guest for the finals.
