The Cricket Match between Dharmaraja College,Kandy and Nalanda College, Colombo for Bandula Warnapura Trophy was held on March15 and 16 at Lake View Grounds, Kandy. Bandula Warnapura is an Old Nalandian who is the first Test Cricket Captain of Sri Lanka. The Bandula Warnapura Trophy was presented by the old boys of Dharmaraja College, Kandy. Since the year 1999 the Trophy was presented to the Team that gets a first Innings lead if there is no outright win
Nalanda scored 122 in the 1st Innings and 264 in the second Innings. Dharmaraja scored 187 in the first Innings but did not bat in the second innings. Rajans won the Bandula Warnapura Trophy for the first Innings win and they won this trophy after eleven years.
