Team Trigs clinch Richmond T20 Title

Opener Chamath Dilsara struck 53 in 54 balls, while Ravishka Wijesiri made a brisk 48 in 24 balls to help Team Trigs beat Team Samuel by 19 runs in the inaugural Richmond Champions League T20 Cricket Tournament which concluded at the Galle Stadium, yesterday.

Team Trigs scored 150 for five wickets from their allotted 20 overs and in reply Team Samuel were restricted to 131 for eight wickets from their 20 overs.

Charith Asalanka who struck two successive centuries was named Player-of-the-Series, while Chamath Dilsara was selected as the Emerging Player of the Tournament.

In addition, Ravishka Wijesiri won the Man-of-the-Final Award.

Richmond College Principal, Thilak Watthuhewa was the Chief Guest and distributed the awards.

Team Trigs: 150/5 in 20 overs (Charith Asalanka 32, Chamath Dilsara 53, Ravishka Wijesiri 48, Nalaka Jayawardena 2/15)

Team Samuel: 131/8 in 20 overs (Sithara Gimhan 35, Thaveesha Abhishek 43, Janith Kaushalya 21, Amshi de Silva 3/18, Chamath Dilsara 2/20).
