Tissamaharama FC in convincing win

The first-ever District League Championship organised by the Hambantota Football League commenced on January 17 (Sunday) at Mahinda Rajapaksa Stadium in Tangalle.

This Championship was organised by the Hambantota District Sports Development Foundation with the blessings of Sports Minister Namal Rajapaksa.

The curtain raiser of the tournament was played between LA Tangolians and Tissamaharama Football Club at Mahinda Rajapaksa grounds in Tangalle.

Tissamaharama Football Club put on a dazzling display to defeat LA Tangolians by 4-0 while in the other game played at the same venue, Hambantota Football Club held Beliatta Sports Club to a thrilling one all draw.
