Top seed Sharmal Dissanayake and Yasitha de Silva set up a showdown in the Men’s Singles while winning their respective semi-finals on day-seven of the National Tennis Championships, which continued at the SLTA Courts in Green Path yesterday.
Dissanayake defeated Sankha Athukorala 7-6, 6-3 in the first semi-final while de Silva had the better of Chathurya Nilaweera 7-6, 6-3 in the second semi-final.
The Men’s Singles final will be played on Sunday while the Women’s Singles semi-finals are scheduled for today. - (A.N)
