As a novel event into the calendar of Leo District 306 C2, an annual Sports meet ‘C2 Games’ was added with the objective of fostering camaraderie, improving physical fitness of Leos in friendly rivalry.
The 1st ever C2 Games Colombo 2020 was held on October 3 at Sugathadasa Stadium, Colombo including an aquatic meet, athletic meet, rugby tournament, volleyball tournament etc. under the supervision of the District President Leo Rahul Attanayake, District Chairperson for Leos PDG Dr. Lion Lasantha Goonawardhane MJF and project chairman Leo Kalpa Sulakshana. The sports meet was filled with more than 400 Leos and invitees. Nearly 150 Leos enrolled for the events and games.
The chief guest of the opening ceremony was District Governor Dr. Rasika S Priyantha and the guest of honour was Olympic recipient Ms. Niluka Rajasekara while the chief guest of the closing ceremony was past international president of Lions International Lion Mahendra Amarsuriya PMJF and the guest of honour of the event was the well-known international swimming record holder Akalanka Peiris.
