Cricket gear for Ranajayapura College

Kekirawa Ranajayapura College junior cricketers with Sports Minister Namal Rajapaksa at the Sports Ministry. The coach of the school Ajith Bandara and HR Department Head of SLC, Major Tanesh B Dias are also present.

The cricketers of Kekirawa Ranajayapura College continued their cricket practices with great difficulties due to lack of facilities. At the meantime the matting used for cricket practices by the college team had been set on fire by unknown people. This incident was reported by the media and finally Sports Minister Namal Rajapaksa came to their aid.

The Minister had invited this junior cricketers and officials to the Ministry on last Tuesday and made arrangements to provide wanted facilities through Sri Lanka Cricket. Finally SLC provided them with a new matting surface and two bags of cricket gears. Minister also offered them transport to get the equipment transport to Kekirawa.

Meanwhile the Minister also instructed officials to make arrangements to construct an outdoor fitness centre. The coach of Kekirawa Ranajayapura College Ajith Bandara, Head of SLC HR Department Major Tanesh B. Dias who co-ordinated this with the Ministry were also present.
