Thambaddai Eleven Star Sports Club became champions of the ‘Arumugam Subramaniyam Memorial Trophy -2019’ limited overs softball cricket tournament conducted by Super Star Sports Club, Thirukkovil at the Super Star play grounds, Thirukkovil recently.
Thirukkovil Super Star Sports Club President and Attorney–at-law K.Jegasuthan and Journalist S.Karthikesu, son of the late Arumugam Subramaniyam organized the tournament while 16 prominent teams from Thirukkovil DS Division took part.
Thambaddai Eleven Star Sports Club beat Vinayagapura Minnoli Sports Club in the final.
Vinayagapura Minnoli Sports Club team won the toss and batted first scored 78 runs in their allocated 10 overs for all out. In reply Thambaddai Eleven Star Sports Club team scored 79 runs, losing 03 wickets.
Man of the Match was Sathursan of Thambaddai Eleven Star Sports Club and Man of the Series was Gopinath of Vinayagapura Minnoli Sports Club.
Champions Thambaddai Eleven Star Sports Club were awarded Rs.15,000.00 cash prize and trophy by the guests and the runner up Vinayagapura Minnoli Sports Club was awarded Rs.10,000.00 and trophy.
TNA Parliamentarian Kavinthiran Kodiswaran participated as the chief guest at the award ceremony.
