
A splendid unbeaten 100 runs by Sineth Jaywardene helped Royal College Colombo to beat Presidents college Rajagiriya on first innings by 143 runs in their inter school under 15 division one tournament cricket match organized by Sri Lanka Schools cricket Association for the Singer Trophy and worked off at Colombo. Royal is fielding four teams in the under 15 and two teams in under 17 this cricket season and Sineth became the first player to notch up a century in the first outing itself.
Sineth hit nine fours and two sixes and occupied the crease for 102 minutes and faced 94 balls. Anuk Suraweera too contributed 72 runs. Batting first visitors were all out for 142 runs with Abishek Iddawala claiming 5 for 32 and in reply Royalists declared at 285 for 5 and at stumps visitors were reeling at 72 for 6.
