Nalanda, Mahanama and St. Peter’s register wins

Nalanda College Colombo, Mahanama College Colombo and St. Peter’s College Bambalapitiya recorded their second wins in the season of the “Singer Trophy” Under 17 Division One Inter Schools Cricket tournament yesterday.

Nalanda College Colombo beat De La Salle College Colombo by 7 wickets and Mahanama College Colombo beat Ananda Shashthralaya Kotte by 80 runs. St. Peter’s College Bambalapitiya beat Sri Jayawardhanapura MV by 9 wickets.

Maris Stella College Negmbo beat St. Anthony’s College Wattala by 7 wickets.

At Kotte: Mahanama Colombo won by 80 runs. Mahanama Colombo 215/7 in 50 overs (Sandishan Chamodya 58, Pawan Rathnayake 55, Achintha Supun 26 n.o., Chamath Chamupathi 23, Hirusha Piyumal 2/23, Abilash Dinakara 2/47) Ananda Shashtralaya Kotte 135 in 40.5 overs (Hirusha Piyumal 33, Kavish Dissanayake 3/38, Sethum Kenula 2/13, Achintha Supun 2/21)

At Wattala: Maris Stella Negombo won by 7 wickets. St. Anthony’s Wattala 105 in 43.4 overs (Prasad Maduranga 23, Nihan de Silva 3/17, Ravindu Dilshaka 2/24) Maris Stella 111/3 in 23.1 (Nihan de Silva 40, Ivin Kalhara 23)

At Kandy: No result. St. Mary's Kegalle 51/1 in 8.3 overs (Malinda Karunarathne 21 vs Sri Sumangala Kandy

At Campbel place: Nalanda Colombo won by 7 wickets De La Salle Colombo 71 in 29.5 overs (Shevinda Wijesuriya 24, Vinuka Nanayakkara 5/16, Dineth Samaraweera 3/10) Nalanda 72/3 in 12.3 overs (Rashan Dissanayake 24, Kaveesha Zoysa 2/14)

In Bambalapitiya: St. Peter’s Bambalapitiya won by 9 wickets. Sri Jayawardanapura MV Kotte
