Maliyadeva rally to steal win over Sri Sumangala

Maliyadeva College came from behind with a strong second half rally to steal victory over Sri Sumangala College by 26 points (three goals and a try) to 17 (one goal and two tries) in an inter school ‘Plate’ match played at the Bogambara Stadium yesterday.

Sri Sumangala side led at half time 17-7 and went down in the second half due to a superb performance by the Kurunegala school forwards which helped the Devans to pull off an impressive win.

Referee: K. Sandaruwan.

Today at Nittawella, St. Anthony’s College will scrum down in their second Plate matct against Vidyartha College, which should be a closely contest encounter.
