Antonians edge out Maliyadeva 26-24

St. Anthony’s College, Katugastota pulled off a 26-24 victory against Maliyadeva College, Kurunegala in an inter-school ‘Plate’ trophy rugby encounter played at a furious pace at Kurunegala. At half time the winners led 21–12.

Overall both sides played well as excepted maintaining a fast pace right throughout the game. Antonians’ 26 points came off three goals and a try while the Devans 24 points were off two goals and two tries. Referee - Sarath Madugalle.
