Sri Lanka fast bowler Lahiru Kumara is the latest to join a growing list of young cricketers who have been disciplined by Sri Lanka Cricket for breaching the team’s code of conduct.
Kumara, who was in the 16 member Test squad to face England in the three match series, starting today at Galle has been found guilty of breaching the code of conduct of the team and accordingly, the team management has decided to replace him.
Dushmantha Chameera comes in as Kumara’s replacement with immediate effect, states an SLC media release.
Kumara is the third Sri Lankan cricketer to be disciplined in this manner for the year.
Leg-spinner Jeffrey Vandersay was disciplined for his conduct in the Caribbean and opener Danushka Gunathilaka on two separate instances.
