A one-day physical fitness Programme and a training camp for Grade 5 school children of Akkaraipattu divisional schools was conducted by School Sports Development Project Unit of the Akkaraipattu Zonal Education Office at the As-Siraj Maha Vidyalaya Play Grounds recently.
The programme was organized by the Akkaraipattu Educational Zone School Sports Development Project Co-ordinator A.L.Faiz under the guidance and supervision of the Zonal Education Director A.M.Rahmathullah.
Akkaraipattu Zonal Education Director A.M.Rahmathullah was the chief guest. Over 200 students participated in the camp.
The coaching team was headed by a well known coach and Ampara District Secretariat athletic coach S.L.Thajudeen, assisted by In-service Advisor (Physical Education) M.H.Hammath and Physical Education teachers.
Deputy Education Director (Planning) A.G.Fasmil, Akkaraipattu Divisional Education Officer M.A.Kaleelur Rahman, Assistant Education Director (Primary) - S.Amjathkhan, In-service Advisors, Principals and teachers participated in this training session.
