The inter department Cricket and Netball Tournament of Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Ltd. which was organised by the Chairman of ANCL Krishantha Cooray and the Board of Directors to foster friendship and understanding among employees of ANCL was held at the Air Force Grounds on Saturday which was graced by former Sri Lanka test cricketers Sanath Jayasuriya and Aravinda de Silva.
The Security Department clinched the cricket title by beating the Printing Department in the final W.A. Ranga Priyamal was adjudged the best player and best bowler of the tournament while D.R.S. Perera of the Printing Department was picked as the best batsman.
The ANCL yellow team let by Udula PeIris won the netball title. Randali Pabasara was adjudged the best player while Udula Peris was picked as the best shooter in the netball tournament.
