Devapathiraja advance to the semi final

Devapathiraja College Rathgama advanced to the semi final of the ‘Singer Trophy’ Under 19 division 11 inter schools (Two day K/O) Cricket tournament yesterday.

Devapathiraja College Rathgama won on first inning against Vidyartha College Kandy in the pre quarter final played at Maliyadeva College ground Kurunegala yesterday.

14 year old Irushka Thimira left arm legspiner of Devapathiraja Rathgama took 7 wickets for 49 runs. Left hand batsman Raveen Yasas of Devapathiraja Rathgama passed 1000 runs milestone this season with 3 tons.

Devapathiraja Rathgama: 289 in 69.3 overs (Thisara Dilshan 80, Chethiya Gimhana 78, Pethum Madushanka 44, Jeevaka Shashieen 21, Medunaka Wijethilake 3/78, Dumindu Imantha 2/16, Kasun Karunathilake 2/72) and 216/9 decl. in 49.1 overs (Sudeera Weerarathne 78, Raveen Yasas 73, Medunaka Wijethilake 6/76)
