A close game can be expected between two high riding teams in Havies Sports Club and Army Sports Club when they lock horns in their Dialog ‘A’ Division inter-club knock-out quarter final rugby encounter at the Police Park at 4 pm today
Soldiers are packed with some outstanding players under the leadership of ever green wing three quarter Thusitha Senanayake along with last year’s skipper cum number eight Manoj Silva but they should get their act together if they are to pull off a win against the formidable Havelocks and to achieve that the several experienced players who are in their ranks have to give off their best today under their Head coach Nilfer Ibrahim.
Meanwhile the young Havies outfit at present are in team rebuilding stage with lot of top school rugby players who did turn out for their respective schools last year are playing for them in today’s game under the watchful eyes of their head coach Sanath Martis, captained by experienced club player in Jason Melder will know that they must win this game to get in to the semi finals, hence they will come out with their best fifteen for this game and will go out with all guns blazing to topple the Army side and make a deserving win.
