A splendid unbeaten 112 runs by Buda Kumaratunge of Royal College Colombo was of no avail as the inter school under 13 division three tournament cricket match against St. Peters College was abandoned due to rain at Bambalapitiya.
Buda Kumaratunge hit seven fours and one six and faced 103 balls. Royalists batting first declared at 209 for 9 and Sadeev Thanapathi claimed 3 for 40 for the homesters. In reply when game came to a halt Peterites were 73 for 2 with Ovin Salgado scoring 36 runs.
