Singer Cup U15 Division 1 Schools Cricket: Royal into quarterfinals

Royal College (A) Colombo advanced to the quarterfinal round of the ‘Singer Trophy’ Under 15 division 1 inter schools cricket tournament when they beat defending champions Nalanda College (A) Colombo by 98 runs in the pre-quarterfinal match played at Royal College junior ground yesterday.

Royal: 311/9 in 50 overs (Sandun Amantha 75, Ishiwara Dissanayake 63, Shonal Amarasekara 57, Lakshira Perera 54, Nadil Jayakody 3/44)

Nalanda: 213/9 in 50 overs (Ravin de Silva 60, Pasan Ranasinghe 35, Rashan Dissanayake 20, Ranika Dayaratne 3/44, Sunera Sandun 2/29)
