Bradby Fiesta on June 3

The Bradby Fiesta which will coincide with the second leg of the prestigious Bradby Shield encounter between Royal and Trinity will be held for the fourth consecutive year at the Bloomfield grounds, Reid Avenue on June 3, Saturday.

The fiesta which is organized by the Royal College Union will provide a carnival atmosphere celebrating the camaraderie of the two schools who will take part in the oldest school rugby encounter. The Bradby Fiesta will kick off at 9.30 am with the inter-school tag rugby tournament in which ten teams will take part to encourage the future generation.

The kids’ nutrition program will be conducted by Milo for parents to create awareness on the demands of growing up with a focus on sports. The kids Game Zone will be open from 9.30 am with loads of fun and exciting games. A 3D movie ride, which can accommodate nine people in one go will be the showstopper at the fiesta. The many other carnival favourites such as fun rides, jet rides and merry-go-round, blended with food outlets from some of Colombo’s best restaurants and star class hotels will add up to the exciting buzz.

Elephant House will be the official beverage and ice cream partner. Nestle Lanka PLC has also joined the fray through their popular household brands Milo and Maggie. Singer Sri Lanka and Rainco Pvt Ltd too have come forward in supporting the Bradby Fiesta. The entrance ticket entails a 20 percent discount from the popular clothing store Uptown Kandy. The discount coupon is included for both adults and kids and the offer is valid until June 30, 2017.

The supporters of Royal and Trinity who are unable to enter the Royal Sports Complex can gather around the giant LED screen to witness the match. The fiesta will continue after the match with a specially flown DJ Mira from Ukraine who will take centre stage along with local artists Black, Bathiya and Santhush, Natasha Ratnayake and Shermaine Willis who will entertain the gathering.
