Anupa steers Cambrians

A good all round performance of 48 runs and 3 for 33 by captain of the under 15 Division Two cricket team of Prince of Wales’ College, Anupa Heshan helped his Alma-mater to beat Ananda Vidyalaya, Kottawa by a healthy margin of 120 runs in their inter school tournament cricket match conducted by the Sri Lanka Schools Cricket Association and worked off at Moratuwa.

Batting first Cambrians declared at 206 for 8 and in reply Kottawa Anandians were skittled out for a paltry 85 runs. Chenula Fernando claimed 4/14 and at stumps homesters were 69 for no loss.

Kottawa Dharmapala Vidyalaya drew with Prince of Wales’ College in their inter school under 15 Division One tournament cricket match conducted by the Sri Lanka Schools Cricket Association and played at Moratuwa.

Kottawa Palians batting first were 106 for 6 when the game came to a halt due to inclement weather.
